Grew up there... lived there my whole life before moving to Florida. LOVE it!! Nothing bad about it that I can think of.

I grew up there as well. My mom still lives there. Close to all, (shopping, highway/expressway) mostly small properties close together. Where she is homes are soooo much now and the taxes are outrageous. She is Great Neck SD. The only thing I didn't like was my neighbors had a pool I could literally reach out by bedroom window and touch. I prefer more privacy.

I grew up there. We were in the Herricks School District and my DH was in the NHP Memorial district. Neither one of us have any complaints. Nice areas, close to everything. NHP is a large area. Some of it is even considered Queens. My grandma was in NHP but on the Queens side. STill no complaints.

I grew up in NHP, went to NHP Memorial and my parents still live there. I had a great time growing up. The schools were good and there are a lot of good community programs.
It's very convenient. The only thing I don't like is that the houses tend to be very close and most of the property sizes aren't too large. But other than that, I have no complaints.

I grew up there and went to Herricks. There are parts that are zoned for Herricks, parts for New Hyde Park/Garden City Park, and even a small part that is zoned for Great Neck schools.
