New Jersey Housewives fans....
Anyone else notice the baby was forward facing coming home from the hospital (and no base)?

I am not a mom - but a mom to be. Yes! I said to my husband, why is the baby facing that way. Also, it didn't seem like the seat was secure??

my dh and i were surprised with the atv my fam has them and they cant wait to put our ds on it and we r like the answer is still no at 9 years/

I hope that was the case!
But considering they let the 9 & 3 yo on the ATV with no helmets I have to seriously doubt their parenting skills.

It seemed like the car was moving with the car seat like that. It didnt seem right to me either, like it was laying down or something.
The ATV thing with those little girls was shocking! I couldnt believe how fast that went. That little girl needs a Barbie jeep!

I saw that too! OMG!!!! They probably did "stage" it, but after seeing her let her daughters ride that ATV w/ NO helmet and no real training or talk about safety, I wonder if the carseat was in fact, front facing and she didn't no the difference! Scary!!!!

I was dumbfounded!!!! First, about the carseat thing, then about this, the whole ATV thing, no helmet, NOTHING :( Very upsetting! I was going to call Bravo and send them an email and ask if this is what they "promote" as far as safety...they should know better than to have let that air like that!!!

I rewinded it several times. I am "thinking" the seat was rear facing and it just looked forward facing. The truck has 3rd row seating so maybe the camera man was in the 3rd row. I can't imagine the hospital allowing her to leave with the baby forward facing. The nurses brought her to the car.

OMG! The ATV thing was scary! I made my original post before seeing that part....all Theresa was worried about were the water puddles!!! (Are there another kind?)
Now I have to check to see if I can tell if the car was moving.

I know that's why it was in () not as safe as with a base IMO. I don't know if you can use a base if its forward facing.

the base is only for convenience. it's just as safe to use a carseat without it.

That's why I said IMO! Fact or not its still my opinion. I never feel like I can get the seat as secure with the seat belt (I have the latch).
