New Long Island Hospital Will Focus on Women's Health
NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y. (AP) -- The North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for a new $300 million, 10-story hospital dedicated to addressing women's health issues.
The Katz Women's Hospital will feature 88 private rooms, and will offer labor and delivery, postpartum and all other facets of women's health services.
The project has the support of Saul Katz, who is board chairman of NS-LIJ, and his wife, Iris Katz.
Saul Katz also serves as president of the New York Mets.
Several Mets players, along with Mayor Michael Bloomberg, are expected to attend Thursday morning's groundbreaking in New Hyde Park, Long Island.
Couldn't they have this ready by the time we all deliver
