new momma question
my baby is 9 days old today - I am already crying that he is growing up too fast!! LOL maybes it the hormones but I wanted to know what do you do with newborns all day- just feed, change and love them right? Or should I be showing him toys or anything like that? does he need to be entertained yet? or when does that start??

u can start tummy time. Lay him on his belly to get neck control... or put him in the swing with the music on. At this age all babies do is sleep, eat and poop lol...enjoy the time with ur little man. Congrats!!!!

Like the PP said, they don't do much right now. My ped wanted us to start tummy time asap a few times per day. Other than using the swing, I gave lots of snuggles and kisses and let them sleep, eat and poop/pee all day. Enjoy every second of it! Congrats Mommy!

Aside from what you mentioned, I would do tummy time, just a few seconds/minutes at a time, sing to DS, and show him black and white flash cards. I would also talk to him all day (mostly because I was home alone and was tired of talking to my cat  ) Congrats, mama!
