new mommy here...had my first paranoid episode.
I was changing my daughter and noticed a small lump under her right breast, I panicked and had my husband feel it too, then he checked the left breast and it was there too, so that calmed me a little, that it was on both breast, I fiqured it was a gland. I have a regular check up Dr. app't Monday, so I didn't feel the need to schedule one sooner, but I did look it up on the internet and this is what I found....
" both male and female newborns can have breast enlargement. This is due to the female hormone estrogen passed to the fetus from the mother during pregnancy. You may feel firm, disc-shaped lumps of tissue beneath the nipples and, occasionally, a small amount of milky fluid (called "witch's milk" in folklore) may be released from the nipples. The breast enlargement almost always disappears during the first few weeks. Despite what some parents believe, you shouldn't squeeze the breast tissue - it will not make the breasts shrink any faster than they will on their own."
Anyone ever have this with their DD ??

Yep, totally normal. My daughter had it too, it was like two little golf balls under her boobs. Its sometimes more pronounced if they are breastfed. It goes away. My daughters went away by 2 months olds.

Just incase you didn't know, it's also normal if she gets kind of a period. Ava had some blood in her diaper one day and I was totally freaked out, but it's normal.

Re: new mommy here...had my first paranoid episode.
I don't think my son had this but I wouldn't worry about it because from what the other ladies have said it sounds like it's a normal thing and plus tomorrow you are going to the doctors.
By the way welcome and congratulations...

yup, my ped said that babies breasts get swollen after birth in both boys and girls and not to worry. I think it went away after a few weeks.
