new Ped at my practice and she's a big fan of arbonne products, thoughts?
turns out she's a consultant so I'm a little skeptical not of the product but obviously there's a bias to recommend it over aquaphor which I've got a ton of at home already or eucerin which we also have in the house.
Do you use arbonne? do you feel ilke it's that much better?

I tried some of their products but I didn't understand how they say natural etc ( those types of claims) when the ingredient list is HUGE on all their products...maybe someone on here is a consultant and can explain that, but once I saw that I stopped using it. The sunscreen, the entire bottle is a list of ingredients in small print.

I could be wrong, but isn't it unethical for a pediatrician to try and "sell" (literally or figuratively) his or her own products to the people they are treating?
ETA - I have a few Arbonne products. They are Eh - nothing that the consultants say they are, IMO

I use arbonne and non of my family new that. I have had so many complements on how SOFT my DS's skin is. I am not a big fan of the fragrance, but it is safe for baby's skin and I happen to love it!!

that's sort of my point. It's at least clear to me that her medical opinion may be influenced or motivated by personal profit so I'm less trusting of the recommendation.

That would really bother me. A few of my friends sell arbonne and I am so turned off by the scare tactics they use to sell their products. Can you say something to one of the other drs? I have taken DS to a pediatric dermatologist and arbonne was not on the list of lotions and sunblocks he suggested we try (not saying he said anything bad about it, just that he told me 4 or 5 things to try and they weren't one of them).

That would really rub me the wrong way. I was bothered enough that an employee at my OB's office is an Arbonne consultant and my OB lets her give out her information in the office.

Re: new Ped at my practice and she's a big fan of arbonne products, thoughts?
I've been to so many doctors, mostly dermatologists, who sell prodcuts. Also, it is very clear that a lot of doctrors are in the pockets of various pharmaceutical companies. Perhaps it's not a cash exchange but I have definitely seen doctors winded and dined by big pharma. I did not think that this would permate pedatrics but I guess it has. I would not like it, nor would I see it as a reason to stop using aquaphor.

when DD was a baby, maybe 3 or 4 months old, she had cradle cap pretty bad.
i used the baby wash from arbonne and it really cleared it up. but once it was empty, we never ordered more.
my cosuin sells it, but at $14 a pop, we can't afford to use it.
