New Puppy Training

Hi !! New here - My husband wants to get me a Yorkie puppy for our 1st Anniversay - which is VERY sweet - And now the idea has completely consumed me -
But we live in an NYC apartment.....any advice on what she will need and the best way to train her ?? I haven't had a puppy since I was 12 !!

I just adopted a puppy three weeks ago. We live in an apartment and are training her in a crate (we both work full-time). It is definitely overwhelming at times..u just need a lot of patience. The most difficult part is having to wake up in the middle of the night, getting dressed, and locking up the apartment to take her outside...As they get older though, they have better bladder control so hopefully this won't be an issue!
For the first two weeks I worked half days so she could just get used to being in the crate and so she can relieve herself every 4 hours. I'm back to working full days and she is in the crate for 8 1/2 hours...and I haven't come home to any surprises (knock on wood)!
