New RE
So for those that don't know me, I had a failed IVF cycle back in November. We are going to meet with our RE but it was a disaster last time and we are contemplating switching RE's.
For anyone who had Male Infertility issues and raves about their doc can you please share? I'm not even talking about getting a BFP but someone who you trust and like the practice.
For anyone who just loves your dr. same thing?
I'm going to start my research now as I'm hoping this Spring we can try again but i want to feel 100% comfortable this time around.
Thanks Ladies!!

I am switching when we start up again. I am going to try LI IVF. Many ladies on here told me how wonderful they are. Also Dr. Sheynken who is a great urologist work with this office now. We have male factor infertility.

We were unexplained, but I LOVED my RE. Dr, Mukherjee at RMA in manhattan. He understood the emotional side of it too, not just the science.
I even emailed him when I got my natural bfp and he still responsed to me right away.

Re: New RE
Did IVF with LI IVF back in Nov (Male Infertility issues) I got pregnant on our first IVF cycle and currently almost 11 weeks pregnant! I can't tell you how happy I was with the entire staff at LI IVF. I highly recommend going for a consult. I saw Dr. Brenner but all the doctors are amazing!

We used him as well and liked him. We were strictly dealing with MFI. I think with MF, the IF lab is critical (I say this because we did not have success at another practice).

Thanks ladies. I have to say, It's nice to hear that some of you love your RE AND their practice/other dr.'s in the office. That is not the case where I am so I have a big decision to make. Manhattan may be tough for me to get to but a consult is worth the try.

You can always try to do your monitoring during the week at their garden city office. Monitoring on weekends and procedures are done in NYC.

I was first at RMA in NYC. They were a very efficient practice. Their office and lab were impressive. I however was not a fan of the baby factory feeling. You do see a doctor at each monitoring appt but it's not YOUR doctor, it's whoever is on call that day. Same is true for all procedures. I had 3 IUI's and only 1 was done by my RE. Same goes for IVF's. I too had MF issues, specifically morphology. We switched to SIRM and I loved the 1:1 feeling. I saw Dr. T at every one of my monitoring appts. He does alternate weekends with Dr. Wang so Dr. T did my retrieval and Dr. Wang did the transfer. Feel free to message me if you have more questions.

Re: New RE
Check out Dr Steven Palter at Gold Coast. He is the best of the best. Went to LIVF for over a year and realized it was def time for a switch. So much happier .

We are going to our follow up consult with our current dr this week and in feb we are going to see dr palter. Due to where we live NYC is just not an option right now. Hopefully we can get some answers...

The problem wit a 2nd opinion within the practice is that they are all still part of the same practice and are very likely not to say anything that would indicate that they felt their colleague wasn't as comprehensive as they would be. I did it and it was a waste of time...I could sense the protectiveness and we'ness. For a truly independent eval, go elsewhere.

I am on my 3rd practice. RS of NY was my first, RMA my second. I am with Dr. T now. hated RS Of NY and wasted over a year and a half of my IVF life there. loved RMA but felt for my issues they couldn't help me. My dr. was older and didn't think too much out of the box. I didn't fit into the infertility mode and I felt he was giving up on me. was debating about switching drs. among the office- but they all talk and they all have similar philosophies so I left. After much research and procrastination, We had a consult with Dr. T. love love love him. he is blunt, honest, yet methodical and caring. Already, he put me on folgard for my folic acid issues, we did immune testing and recently a hysteroscopy which revealed a good amount of scar tissue and an area where it was not great to implant. He already said I don't need a biopsy as of now- that EFT because he thinks the scar tissue was part of the problem.

I'm with Dr. Zapantis in Jericho NY. I had a successful IUI after unexplained infertility. Unfortunately I just miscarried at 8 weeks but I did get pregnant! Dr. Z is incredibly intelligent and explains everything is great detail. I never feel rushed. The girls in the office are all really nice and compassionate. I don't have any other RE experience to compare to but I do really like his practice.

After seeing dr palter we now have both m and f factors. I feel very comfortable with him and his care. Doing more testing on me than ever at rsony which I'm glad he's doing. I start my cycle tomorrow. Last and final shot at giving my dd a sibling! I'm feeling good about this!
