New shopping/attractions! The Arches/Tanger Outlets at Deer Park and the LI Lighthouse!

I CANNOT wait for this!!! When I went to visit NC last year, there was such a nice shopping center like this.
So I am SOOO psyched that this is coming to LI! Can you tell I like to shop (and eat)?
And this? I can't wait for this either!
I am so glad LI will have some new things for us to enjoy~

Wow! Is The Arches just in the planning stages, or has construction started? Deer Park is like 15 minutes from my house... this will be soooooo dangerous....

The Arches....
I read they broke ground last month, and it is estimated to be finished next summer.

We ate at some really NICE restaurant that looked like a lodge inside, very log cabin rustic but BEAUTIFUL. Did you see that?

I just remembered. It's The Streets at Southpoint. So gorgeous!!! We didn't actually go inside, just drove through and around (we were there too early and had to go somewhere afterwards). But it looked like (what I imagine) Europe to look like. Cobblestone streets. Indoor/outdoor shops, eateries. So gorgeous!!
Can't wait till it comes here!

OMG looks awesome, especially because I work 5 minutes from Deer Park! The traffic is going to be a nightmare though It'll probably be hard to get near it when it first opens. It is so great that we won't have to trek out to Riverhead anymore!

They broke ground at Deer Park a month or two ago. I pass by it on the train every day!
The traffic on Commack Rd is going to be a nightmare. I wish they had taken that into account.

They did take this into account. Supposedly they are looking to make an exit from some parkway there (which one i dont know), directly into the outlets (kinda like Roosevelt Field).
This was the biggest concern they were met with by residents. I dont know if it actually will happen though (exits from parkways).
