New to LIF with ?'s
Hi,
I'm a newbie who has been lurking for awhile and has now started this journey of TTC.
My husband and I have been trying for over a year now with one MC and no success since then. So after alot of disappointment, we have our first appoint at LIIVF with Dr. Brenner 2moro. We are pretty nervous and anxious at the same to find out whats going on. Hoping you ladies can help with some questions:
1. Has anyone had success with LIIVF or Dr. Brenner?
2. What should i expect at the consult appt?
3. How long after the consult did it take to start doing IUI or IVF procedures?

First off, welcome!!! Hopefully your stay on this board won't be long but the ladies here have been SO INCREDIBLY helpful that i'm sure you will be able to get the support you need!
DH and I have been TTC for a little over 2.5 years and started seeing an RE just under a year ago. We are at RSofNY but I have heard really great things about LIIVF. I don't know Dr. Brenner in particular, but he gets good reviews on the boards!
As for the time between consult and IUI, I had a consult, did blood work, then started my cycle as soon as I got my first period. I scheduled the consult about a week before I was due so that I would be able to start soon after....
We did 6 IUIs with an ectopic at the 3rd and just moved to IVF this cycle....
There is a great thread on here that has a list of about 30 questions for your consult if you want an idea of what they will talk about.... I'll try to find it and bump it for you...

I LOVE DR. BRENNER
He got me pregnant 3/4 iui's. I think he is kind, up front, and brutally honest when he needs to be. Are you seeing him in Lake Success? The nurses are amazing there too.
At your first appointment he will go over your history, recommend any testing, and help come up with a game plan. Though he will most likely wait on the testing to come back.
How soon you start depends on the tests you need.

It went well. Brenner seems to be know what he is doing and the nurses there were nice.
DH was sick but still went with me. So since he was sick and not fully himself i had to make sure to get all the information cause he was half dead next to me. lol
Brenner took my blood (opted to do the genetic test too) and he did an ultrasound. Saw that i didn't ovulate yet, although my ovulation test said i did and i have been temping. So he said it may be a cyst.
I have to get day 3 bloodwork and an HSG done after my next cycle (not looking forward to that). DH has to do SA. Then after that we can map out a plan of action.
So so far we are getting this ball rolling.
