New to teaching!!!
Hello!
New teacher here, happy to join the ranks! (just graduated, no experience yet... career changer)... Dually certified childhood ed and ESL.
Does anyone know of any openings? Best way to get hired with no experience?
Thank you!

Congrats on your recent graduation! That dual certification with ESL is a big plus! I'm currently going for my MS in TESOL. I would put your resume up on OLAS and fill out the NYC DOE application. If you missed the deadline which you might have, you can always Google schools/areas you're interested in and e-mail them your resume.
I've even gone in to drop resumes off - some were more accepting than others because a lot of schools do things online but I just figured it couldn't hurt. That's how I ended up getting my job.
If you can't find a teaching job, your best bet is to look for something for a teaching assistant. I know that ideally with your degree it's not the dream job and it's less pay but there's always the opportunity to move up and at least you'll have some experience to put on your resume when it comes time for job interviews.
Best of luck!!
