New to this board

Hello ladies,

I asked for some advice a couple of days ago regarding bleeding and spotting while pregnant. Well I just had my second dr. appointment today and its offical, I miscarried (naturally). I was about 5weeks. I started spotting on Sunday evening and bleeding semi- heavily on Monday (with some moderate cramps). My bloodwork that I took this morning came back almost at completely 0 (hCG down to 8 and progesterone down to 1.5). The bleeding is basically done, I am only spotting now, and my OB said everything should be cleared out in the next day or two. I need to go back next week for one last blood work, just to make sure my hCG goes down to 0.
I was very upset on Monday when I noticed the bleeding and had the feeling that I was miscarrying. Today I am feeling much better. I am trying to look on the brighter side of things. Trying to keep positive that the miscarriage went as well as it did, with very little bleeding and really no pain at all. I am also excited to start trying again. My dr. said to wait until I have my first period (hopefully in 4 weeks) and then its off to again!!

I hate that anyone has to go through this.
That's good that you can try again after your get AF. It will all seem very painful and sad, but eventually once you start TTC again you will beceom excited and hopeful to try agin.

This board is wonderful amd has helped me through my tough times. Feel free to ask any questions or just to vent. We are always here to listen.

I am very sorry for your loss. I hope your stay on this board is short! I have to wait three months so I will be here with you! You are lucky you can try again so soon! I am stuck in this long waiting period but just booked a cruise when we can start ttc again, and I chose the carnival miracle...Hopefully that has some baby dust aboard!!!!!

Thanks girls. I am so glad I have this board to come on and vent or just ask questions.

I felt kind of prepared for this miscarriage because of all the very useful information I have read on this board. I felt like I knew what was going to happen and I definitely understood the doctor a lot better (using all her terms) bc of this board.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's really not fair at all I think it's great you get to try again soon! I hope that it happens again for you quickly!!

This board is definitely a wonderful place to share and vent. It always helps to talk to girls who have been through it.

So sorry for your loss.

I went through a very similar m/c. I was a little farther along (6.5 weeks), but my m/c was natural, relatively quick, and I didn't have too much pain.

It might help to know I got my period 2 weeks after my betas went down to 0..and got normal periods in the months following. We waited a few months to TTC for other reasons, but on the first try after the m/c, we are pg again!

So srry. I lost my pregnancy a little further along. They told me I could start trying again after my first period as well.

I'm sorry for your loss. Mine was around the same time as yours. It's never easy, no matter when it is, but you sound like a very strong woman. We are all here for you!

Mine was similar to your situation. Stay positive and focus on the positive - you CAN get pregnant. Lots of hugs and prayers. Good luck!
