New to this board!
Hello all, I am "new" to this board, but just in posting. I have popped on for some guidance and support for the past few months.
I just wanted to sort of vent and see if anybody else has can relate or give some advice
I am in the 40+ age bracket and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 5 years. The first 2 years on our own, and the past 3 years through fertility treatments. We have 3 failed IUI's under our belt, and 3 IVF's - 2 with my own eggs and the last one with egg donor, which is the one I am most upset, concerned and confused about.
I miscarried all 3 IVF attempts (I was able to get pregnant) I was told it's b/c of poor egg quality and to get more bang for our buck we should try egg donor for our 3rd try (we are paying OOP). So we went the donor egg route and I miscarried at 8 weeks.
This is the short version of what we went through... it took a while to decide egg donor was for us, and then I was fully committed to it and was actually very excited and hopeful. The most I have ever been through our journey.
We have frozen eggs from our donor, so that is good news. However, the ones we used initially were the best quality. We are hoping in a few months to try again with an FET cycle but I'm really concerned and I feel a little lost as to how to prepare and what to actually ask my RE before we do this again. I want to ask the obvious as to why didn't donor egg work, but am I really going to get a clear answer or just opinion?
Any ideas, insight, advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: New to this board!
Hi, sorry to hear about your troubles . My advise to you before you go ahead with anymore transfers , donor or your own, is to have more tests run. Check for clotting issues also did you have a water sono and a real mock transfer ? Also dos you have any d&c where they could test to see if there were any issues with the fetus ?

I am sorry you are dealing with this. I had 3 failed transfers too and many failed IUIs. What finally worked for me was having immune testing. I agree with the ladies that you should have more tests done. How far along were you with your Miscarriages? I had chemicals. I was on prednisone and intralipid infusions. Also maybe meet with a new RE for a second opinion. A second opinion was something I should have done sooner. GL IF sucks!

Re: New to this board!
Thanks for the input ladies. Is this different from Tennessee blood test? I was put on a blood thinner the last time around.
