New to this board with a question.

I am thrilled to say that I am now a part of the pregnancy board! I'm a regular poster but want to fly below the radar for at least the next few weeks.

I got my BFP earlier this week, I've calculated my due date to be at the end of August and I am pretty sure I'm currently at a little over 4 weeks.

So happy to be joining you all!!!!

My first Dr. appt is 01/04 I asked if it was just for bloodwork or if DH would want to be there. They said it's "everything" I'm not sure what "everything" means. If my calculations are correct I'll be about 6 weeks so can anyone tell me what to expect at that visit?

I can only tell you what happened at my first visit, every doctor is different... they did blood, urine, pelvic, took some cultures (they would do pap smear but I had one few months before so I didnt have to do it again)... first sonogram I had at 9 weeks...

Re: New to this board with a question.

Congrats!

With my first pregnancy, dr asked us a whole lot of questions regarding diseases, genetic disorders and he asked for DH to be there since he would know if his family members has such and such.

My dr doesn't draw blood in office, so i went sent off to the lab for blood, urine tests and a few genetic/ethic blood disorders that are in our family.

For pg #2, he just sends me for blood and urine tests, and does sono for 1st appt.

I go 6-7 weeks along.
