New Vet Office Now Open w/ a RAVE...
Charlotte's Vet has always been Dr. Marc Gurtman who used to be a part of Commack Animal Hospital on Jericho. He has left there to open his own practice and yesterday we took my parent's new puppy, Teddy, for his very first visit. I love Dr. G because he is so friendly and the first thing he does when he enters the room is put the chart down, pick the dog up like a little kid, and just pet the heck out of them! Charlotte, for this reason and the treats, LOVES going to the Vet!
The office is located in Hauppauge right in the same shopping center as the library on Vet's Highway. I have always loved Dr. Gurtman and now, his facility is state-of-the-art and beautiful... very clean and the staff is SO friendly. He has an associate -- Dr. Sonali Kothari who seemed very nice as well (female). They have puppy training classes, dog boarding, grooming, etc. Everything is brand new!!
The cutest thing was the membership card. Dr. Gurtman takes a picture of your animal on his/her first visit and gives you a little membership card that has the pic and the pet's name on it! I loved that touch!

Isn't he a dish?!
He is so affectionate too. His associate is wonderful also -- they both have very loyal followers lol.
If you take a look at the site, the cat sections are so nice. They really help minimize the stress that a Vet visit can bring to a cat. The fiberglass (not steal) cages have heated floors and a separate place for litter box. He also made sure to separate waiting rooms and exam rooms for cats and dogs! The personalized attention to detail is wonderful. I love this man!

I used to go to him with my grandma's dog in Commack too. I didn't know where he went until I came across his listing on superpages directory recently...
He's further than I'd like to travel right now (I live in Nassau), but I'm hoping to move to suffolk and will TOTALLY switch to him, he is so great!
