New york city teachers question about excessing
Does anyone know what the date is by law that administration has to tell you whether u are being excessed or not?

i always thought you could get excessed anytime until the new school year starts since things sometimes change over the summer. this seems to confirm that - - >UFT link

IDK, but 4 years ago DH was excessed from his first NYC school to the one he is at now.
He reported for his first day after summer vacation to his school, and they said "oh, you were excessed, go to your new school".
thats NYC for you - but he loved where he was excessed to!

Yup, it can happen at anytime. But if you are worried abut this time of the year, you'll know by the time reorganization is done.
