The Junior League raises money for women and children through fundraising activities that we fund and plan and also receive professional training for.

we do things like children halloween events, kids in the kitchen, womens crisis centers, christmas presents for underpriveldged children, etc.


Its comprised of women ages 21+.
At the Leage I am involved with- the Junior League of Stmaford Norwalk, were mostly married/partnered career women and moms that get together every few weeks for training and meetings. Our meeting accommdate the career women meaning they are from 7-9pm every few weeks. Also many of our activities are at tha time or on weekends to make it convenient for those that work full time.


At the same time, we make close friends through the meetings and team work. We also plan extra-curricular meetings like happy hours, pot luck dinners, book clubs, shopping trips, etc.

ive only been in it for 3 months but i look forward to each time i meet with my new friends. each and every woman is amazing, intelligent and kind. And we are all there to do something nice for the community, so I recommend women, who can spare 10-12 hours every 6 months, to join this.
Referrels are not needed- you can join no matter who you are and who you know or dont know.

Thanks for replying! This really sounds like something I'd be interested in. I used to be so involved with volunteering, etc, but for the last few years life has passed me by.
