Newborn and pacifier
Do you use one? How often do you give it to them?
All the time? Just at night?

Re: Newborn and pacifier
Miranda actually used a pacifier in the hospital once I had felt comfortable with her latching.
Then once we were home she really wouldn't take it and now that she is almost 3 months old she takes it again and I let her have it whenever which isn't all the often. I try to put her to sleep with it though because of the whole decreasing SIDS theory.

Re: Newborn and pacifier
Yes we use one and he uses it to fall asleep mostly and once he's asleep it falls out of his mouth. They didn't give my son a pacifier in the hospital so we started giving it to him when we came home.

Re: Newborn and pacifier
Both of my kids never took them. They really don't need them either so it works for me.

Re: Newborn and pacifier
I use it to comfort Jack when he is crying. He ***** on it for a bit and then it usually falls out of his mouth.
I can't wait for him to find his thumb.
