Newborn crying
My DS is only 3 days old...but I feel like when he's awake all he does is cry. He is a good burper. Is that normal? I forget how it was with my DD. She developed a witching hour after a few weeks but I think she was fine being put down, etc...when she was brand new. I just hope he's not in any pain.

Re: Newborn crying
DD didn't cry like that at 3 days old - we were still in the hospital. But by a week old...that's all she did! She had formula allergies and was very gassy...
Are you just home? It could just be the transition to being in a different environment...

Re: Newborn crying
About a week being home, all ds did was cry or nurse. There didn't apprear to be a health reason for it...just colicy in the first couple of months.

Re: Newborn crying
dd cried A LOT. She didn't have colic, she was just cranky! I nursed her all the time just to keep her happy :)

Re: Newborn crying
DS is only 3 and a half weeks old. And when we first came home from the hospital it seemed like if he wasn't sleeping or attached to my boob he was crying.
He seems to have grown out of it a bit.

Re: Newborn crying
Thanks girls. I feel so bad for my DD - she is really attached to DH now which is great, but when he goes back to work next week I don't know how I'll be holding him all day long and spend time with her too.
I want to keep nursing but I think it's just too much work with a 1.5 year old here too so I think I may stop and do 100% formula.

Hang in there. You may be surprised and find a way to work it all out. Or could pumping be an option?
