newborn photog Q

I have a question about newborn photographers, do they usually charge a fee for the session, and picture packages are an additional fee?
Does anyone know of any that will give you images on a CD for us to order prints on our own?

I've priced out a few and have noticed its 2 separate charges (1 for session, 1 for pics). Any help/advice/recommendations are appreciated!!!

I have done a lot of research. I emailed numerous photographers asking them for a quote for a shoot plus a disc. Prices varied from $150-600. I finally found one who I really liked and price was reasonable for what I'm looking for.

Every photographer is different, some charge a flat fee for the session and a cd (or rights to the pictures where you can order a cd for like 20 bucks on mpix). Some charge separate fees for the session plus they have a min purchase requirement of prints and/or CD.
