Newborn spitting up through the nose as well as mouth

I'm getting nervous my newborn has been spitting up after a feeding not every time but more than occasionally. Has anybody heard of this? Should I be concerned? The baby is only a week old

Id call your ped especially at a week old. MIght be reflux. Good luck!

ds had this and it was reflux. we now put him in the rock and play and space out his feedings more.

it is probably reflux. My DS did it a few times. We started spacing feedings and he has been in the rock and play to sleep. We didn't want to go the med route and so far this has worked.

My DS had reflux and this is exactly what happened with arching of his back while laying him down. I would contact your pedi, but meanwhile, just try to burp him more and sit him upright for about 1/2 an hour after his bottle. I'm sorry you're going through this. It seriously was the most nerve wracking experience ever. He is 8 months now and seemed to outgrow it.

sounds like my son as a newborn. We could tell right away that it was reflux.

Sounds like it could be reflux. My son had reflux and spit up constantly...almost every feeding. Call you ped. They'll point you int he right direction! Good luck!
