Newlyweds lose everything in a fire.

This is such a sad story. My friends Kevin and Michelle just got married July 23, and had moved into their dream apartment up in Boston two weeks ago. This morning, Kev's sister messaged me to tell me that there was a fire that burned the whole building down the other night. Thankfully, Kevin and Michelle are okay, as are their cats, but they've lost a LOT of stuff to smoke and water damage. I don't know the extent of it, but it's really sad.

I guess the moral to take away from this is to ALWAYS have renter's insurance, because there's always someone else who could be careless and burn the building down. I know I'm talking to DH about getting insurance ASAP.

My BF's Boston apt. building burned down about 7 or 8 years ago. Her and her roommate lost everything. Anything that wasn't burned had too many small pieces of glass when the firefighters had to break the windows.
