Newsday Recent Sales Website

Has anyone used this website to look at recent home sales?

The school district I am interested in (New Hyde Park in Nassau) only has 4 homes in 2006 (all in Jan 2006). It seems off.

Newsday Recent Home Sales Website

Is there another website out there?

I have used this - it hasnt been updated in a while..... I think that it takes time because they only get the information when it is filed with the county - which can take some time. Zillow.com is another site but i am not sure how far behind that site is.

I just checked out Zillow.com. The house prices seem very low. $150-$200k lower than current prices.

it lists the last house sold in Sachem in January. not very updated.... also, it would be nice if it told you what kind of a house. big diff between a condo and a colonial.

if you are looking in Nassau, you can get the address from here and then go to mynassauproperty.com and get so much information on the house it's scary. Suffolk should do something similar. it made house hunting a lot easier.

I know about that Nassau site. I couldn't believe the pic of my parents house. my mom's car is in the driveway! and you can even see a little bit of the window "decorations" in my little sister's bedroom Chat Icon

I do think that the nassau site is a little scary. just how you have the picture of the house, the ariel view, all the details! But I wasnt complaining when i was house-hunting so i guess I cant complain now!
