Newsday released the names of the shooting victims last night

And the suspect with the knife was a 21 year old.. so curious me I searched on facebook for him, and found his page..

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000405405607&sk=wall

from the looks of it, he seemed like he was troubled. and looking at the comments from his friends just makes me sick.

I personally like the "they could have not used deadly force, fluckin Trigger happy pig faggots". Chat Icon

I forgot, he wasn't wielding a knife while trying to rob an old woman. Isn't that deadly force?????

People like this make me sick.

Newsday said he barricaded himself in his room and then lunged at police officers with a knife.. yet his friends see nothing wrong with that.

Re: Newsday released the names of the shooting victims last night

seriously, did you see some of those knives that he had? Obviously he wasn't well and there is no way in hell I would have taken a chance either.

I am surprised his parents allowed those knives in their house. I mean, its all over his web pages so I am sure they must have been somewhat aware of his stash.

Re: Newsday released the names of the shooting victims last night

I don't even want to look at any of this. I wish it wouldn't even be posted as to not give it attention. How sick - don't think for a second that this Officer's family, friends, and loved ones will not see a lot of this stuff - comments on FB, comments on Newsday, etc. I know first-hand that when your loved one is in the paper and people say hurtful things 9 times out of 10 the family sees/reads it. I know these sick comments are the minority and not how most people feel but the family is hurting so much - they are not just living in a bubble immune to all of this - if we can access it, read it, see it so can they. It's not anyone on here's fault, of course - it's just awful in general and my heart is breaking for this family and nothing is worse than when a select few in the general public have absolutely NO REMORSE or sad feelings about this Officer losing his life simply b/c his profession is a Police Officer. Because it makes him any less human? More immune to suffering? I don't understand it! Chat Icon

Its just insane that his parents allowed him to have this crap and wear stupid masks and crap. They KNEW something was off about him. I think I'll lock my kid up in the basement if they were like that.

what is so disturbing is this is stuff that a rebellious 16 year old would be into.....not a 27 year old man. If this is not mental illness, I don't know what is.

I love how people go on TV and say oh well he just had a knife. A knife can and will kill you just as well as a gun!

This guy was beyond disturbed. His parents should have had him locked up in a psych ward a long time ago. I feel so bad for the officers involved.

ITA.

The parents were probably scared to death of him as well. They had sa+an living with them.

I heard that woman talk about what he did to her in her car, with the knife on the windshield. I wouldve probably sht my pants. Imagine if it was you, with your kids in the car?????????

eta: just realized what pp said about sa+an being blocked. REALLY LIF??

jumping on the roof of a car with a knife sounds like something out of a horror movie. That poor woman. I read today that she feels bad that she called 911 because 2 people are dead. She was totally right for calling the cops.

aww I feel so sorry for her too. Of course she did the right thing. He was not well at all and he would have eventually hurt someone. It was only a matter of time.
