NHl Hockey Jersey

DH wants an Islander jersey for Christmas. I want to get him a customized one, but it seems like the customized ones when buying online only come in XXL.

Does nayone know how big that is... is he going to be swimming in it? he wears an XL in a T-shirt????

Are you looking at the new Reebok Jerseys or the old CCM jerseys? They'll customize in any size, even kids jerseys so it's not a matter of XXL is the only size they will customize.

The new jerseys are more 'form fitting' than the older version, but how that would equate to needing an XL instead of an XXL I'm not sure. .Look here for sizing information I found that relates to chest size. Maybe you can measure one of his tshirts to see where he would fit.

I'm surprised you could only find XXL of the new jersey. I just looked at
River City Sports and they seem to have the Reebok Edge Premiere or Pro Home or Away in a variety of sizes.

I've purchased jerseys from River City Sports before, never had a problem. If I was you, I'd figure out the sizing and then goto the Islander store, if the name you want is common. That way you can have it right away and you're supporting the team.

Thanks so much... i was looking at the old CCM jerseys... he's been an Islander fan forever and I know he likes the CCM jerseys better than the New reebox ones. they seem only to have the CCM ones in XXL... the new ones came in all sizes. the CCM only being in the XXL--- not sure if that's because that's all they come in or if that's all they have left.

I was going to get him a DP jersey... i figure he has a 10 year contract so the jersey will be good for awhile!

Where did you see the XXL?

I know I've seen them on discount around various places. Maybe check local sports stores to see if they have any left. I just wonder if it would be difficult to get it personalized, since the new lettering styles have changed etc. They might not have the old letters/numbers available

I saw the customized CCm jerseys in XXL only on-line at Modell's, Sport's Authority, D ick''s Sporting Goods and the Team Store. I am assuming it's because the XXL is all they have left. in fact, they must all come from the same place, because each site only has the away jerseys left in XXL. I can get it customized with any player or even his name, but I'll do DP. Each site offered it for $119.99 with free shipping and no tax.

However, I am thinking the XXL in the CCM will be HUGE! have you worn a CCM jersey.. do they run small or big? DH wears an XL in a T-shirt and wears about a 39 in pants.

Weird - I don't see any of the old style at those sites. Maybe I'm just losing it.

I found this site they have white in XL... but if you don't want to get it there, they at least have a sizing chart where it shows you the inches, so you can grab one of his shirts and see how much bigger the XXL would be. From the chart it looks like XL is 25" width while XXL is 26".

i just got my DP jersey.. i love it!

okay, i gave up on finding the DP jersey in a large or x-large..... they only have XXL and those are beyond HUGE!

i ended up buying the new reebox away jersey (White) NOT customized. it got it for $90 in Sports Authority with a coupon. Decent price, i think????
