ETA - we are staying on the Canada side - everyone says that it is much nicer over there!

Dh and I had a great time up there. It was our first trip away while we were dating. Stay on the Canada side. There is not much on the NY side. There is so much to do in Niagra Falls plus Toronto is about an hour drive. We actually flew to Buffalo and drove about an hour to the border.
