Everything in Nice is great, head towards Cap D'ail for some lovely seaside, you won't get a bad meal there. I think there is a Dali Museum (it could be Picasso, its been a long time since I have been there) I don't think you will get a bad meal there. Try to speak some French, they will appreciate it.

This is so true! Not many people speak English here (as compared to the large cities like Paris!)....and when you try to speak French, they DO appreciate it - and help u along. It's NOTHING like trying to speak French in Paris where they just look at you and respond in English.
Enjoy - Nice is an amazing place. Just blend it and absorb the culture around you.
