Nice gift for a 6yo girl?
Our neighbor invited us to their party. The family is so nice and the mom recently helped my mom out so I'd like to get something extra nice to show my gratitude.
Would like to get her something ~$50. Don't mind spending more.
What are 6yo girls into?
She also has a 9yo sister. I have 2 boys who are in an anti-girl phase right now. I feel like it is so much harder to buy gifts as the kids get older.

IMO $50 seems like a lot but I know girls love to play with make up, and you can buy toy make up. I am going blank on the name..

Being that she has an older sister she probably likes older things (my nieces are 5 & 10 and she emulates and copies everything her older sister does). Some ideas:
1. Drawing pads and crayons and paints
2. Makeup / nail polishes
3. The sets where you can make bracelets and earrings
4. There is actually a make your own lip glosses set
5. Cute pjs with cute fuzzy slippers
7. Purse with makeup such as lip gloss and nail polishes
8. They are also learning to read and girls are different then boys and get excited over books. so you can throw in some princess themed books if you are doing a variety of stuff or books in general.
10. Board games
11. Barbies and accessories and clothing
My nieces still love One Direction - so anything like pjs, shirts, posters, books or stickers they go crazy over.

Nice gift for a 6yo girl?
My 6 year old loves legos, arts and crafts, craft kits. I know Melissa and Doug and Alex (I think that's the name) has many kits. She likes K'Nex as well. A nail polish/manicure set is cute too.

My DD is almost 6 and she loves:

I wanted her to try Goldieblox
From my experience some people wouldn't want their girls to wear make up yet so I'd personally not give it.
You could also do a gift card for an "experience" such as
Build-a-bear
Painting ceramics
Cooking class (though may be over $50)
Movies
Dessert at a restaurant, tea at a restaurant

AJ is 6 and loves both her Goldieblox sets...
There's this lego friends thing that has a show.. she loves the show.. but the legos not all that big of a deal by themselves.
