Nice tops for dinners and/or nights out

I have been to NY and Co, Express and some dept stores and not finding anything I love.
I will check out Black and White to and Loft. Those are the stores I mostly shop at.
Anything online? Was looking at Venus website too, but never ordered from them and wonder how it runs and if it's as nice in person.

I've had luck at Nordstroms Rack online, but for Spring nothing stuck out.

Thanks!

I buy from Venus all the time.
Runs pretty true to size I'd say and the quality is fine.
It's not the best quality you have seen in your life, but it's fine for a few seasons for nights out etc.
I prefer quantity over quality on my clothes- I hate repeating outfits- so it's perfect for me.

Try Macys and Nordstrom too

Thanks! Was at Macy's too, but briefly walked through. I can stand clothes all over. I love Lord n Taylor, but it makes me crazy when everything is all over. LOL! I will try Nordstrom too.

When you find some, let me know. I cannot find ANYTHING I like. I think I may just hate the new styles out. I am out of shirts lol and my old shirts are too big on me. I'm either a sloppy mess when I go out OR wear the same 2 shirts every other weekend

OK ladies I am feeling your pain. I was just browsing for a top to wear out this weekend and NADA!
Yuck.
I hate everything.

It seems every single top is cold shoulder, off the shoulder, ripped to shreds in the arms, hanging off the shoulders, or super super flowy to the point of looking maternity.
I woudl look HUGE in anything that flowy and loose.
It's all very peasant top ish.

And I hate the whole cold shoulder look.

Yuck-o.

Big fat thumbs down to the styles this season

YES! This has been my issue, which is why I was posting. I need some nice tops to go with skinny jeans for going out.
I do like the tops that show the shoulders.
I did finally get a couple of shirts between TJ Maxx (which I usually HATE shopping there bc I hate looking through racks and racks), and Black and White store. Nothing at NY & Co or Express.
The shirts are also too short. I like long, fitted shirts. I'm narrow so anything else makes me look dumpy and squared.

I usually have luck at Express and Banana Republic.

As strange as it sounds I've gotten a few tops at Abercrombie too. I hadn't shopped there in MANY years but went in there because I saw something cute in the window and got a few things!

I miss VS. They used to have great "going out" shirts!

Hotmiamistyles or fashionnova.

Also love Bebe.

Fashion nova is hit or miss.

My most favorite top from fashion nova:
