I was a teenager in the early-mid eighties and all of his movies were out when I was in High School. He had a real gift for relating to teens.
This was a great tribute to him, and I really liked the next blog post after that one, talking about the reactions she got to the tribute.

thank you so much for that. as one commenter said, i really had no connection to him and wasn't really saddened by his death, other than that he wouldn't be making any other movies... but this blogger made him real, and human, and i really have a lot of respect for him now. what a great tribute.
