Nicholas Sparks

Does anyone find him kind of ummm predictable I guess? I am reading the Notebook and am finding myself skipping whole paragraphs because I am already where he was going with the thought? Amnyone else feel like this? On the other hand somewhat in the same genre, I loved Suzanne's Diary for nicholas by James Patterson

Every month someone from the book club choses a book. I can send you the list of what we have read so far...ironically I alwasy chose the books that nobody likes!

Isabel Allende is my favorite author.

Re: Nicholas Sparks

I read the Notebook. I thought it was just OK, so I never read any of his other books. I have too many others on my list to get to before his.

Kara, Isabelle Allende is one of my favorites too. Chat Icon

Re: Nicholas Sparks

I cant read him. I liked the notebook but years ago and now that Im older, not sure I would still like it. I find the romance sappy predictability annoying, But some people love him, so Im not judging ...juyst not for me.

Re: Nicholas Sparks

I loved Diary, the Notebook was okay...I HATED the wedding. Such a slow read.
