Nicole and Joel Rejected From Gated Community
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden recently made an offer on a home in a gated Southern California community only to be denied by their potential neighbors, a source tells Us Weekly.
When the mom-to-be heard that she and fiance Madden were denied by residents who were conerned about photographers hovering near their homes, "Nicole was livid because she loved the house," the source says. "She thinks it's a BS reason, but she couldn't fight it."
Still, being dismissed hasn’t put a damper on the couple’s growing excitement over their coming event. Another source tells Us that Richie, 26, is planning a baby shower for the end of November. And Madden, 28, expects fatherhood to have a positive impact on many parts of his life, including his songwriting. “I’m sure it will inspire me,” he told Us on October 27. “Yeah, I’m sure it will.”

In a way i don't blame the neighbors. But if it is a gated community aren't there security guards at the gate. But i also feel bad for them because they can't have a normal life.

me too, i can definitely understand the neighbors view. there will be paparazzi staked out at the gates.

I understand their neighbors POV. Plus, she is known as a party princess with drug and alcohol issues and he is a rock star (I use that term loosely). I don't think a lot of people want someone like that moving in next door. Do you?
