I think I remember this from 10 years ago. We used to get those emails in a non-profit organization I worked in. I don't think they had just started scamming people.

I saw "To Catch an Identity Thief" on Dateline and can't believe that some people still fall for this.

i can't believe that people actually did this!! i got that email so many times and knew it was phony. people are so gullible and that's just scary.

sadly this is just one person--and not even the main ones behind the scams. this check scam will continue for many years to come.
