I had the pants and top and was very comfortable. It's really what you would be more comfortable in.

I brought pj pants and a top (usually T-shirt) for bed and running outfits to wear during the day when there were visitors.
ETA - and def bring a robe to walk around

I had 2 nightgowns and a short robe, slippers and flip flops for the shower.

same here! I thought a nightgown was better since they check you durung the night if you've had an episiotomy and with my first born, it was so annoying having to pull my PJ bottoms down every time.

I packed a top and bottom style PJ... Didnt end up using it till the last night.. Was too uncomfortable for me, plus (TMI) I bled a lot.. and had an episiotomy, so was also checked thru the night. HTH
