Nightmare- Haunted house in NYC
I just got back from PA, while I was there we went to the Eastern State Penitentiary (rated #5 Haunted house i the US) yeah, so it wasn't even scary....we were laughing for the most part.
I want to check out Nightmare in Manhatten but am afraid I will be let down. Anyone go? IS it scary?? I don't want to waste another $30 bucks for a comedy show.
TIA!!!

Re: Nightmare- Haunted house in NYC
I went to Blood Manor last night in Manhattan and I was scared out of my mind. They knew it too and kept coming after me. At one point there was this creepy guy right behind me following me, breathing on my neck.

Re: Nightmare- Haunted house in NYC
not sure about nightmare, but i went to blood manor--and i wasn't impressed. it had some scary moments, but for the most part i felt it was hyped up too much, and there was a 2 hrs. wait! (and that was with buying tickets online that day)
the actors were kind of douchebags at blood manor too. we had a group of 9 of us--and halfway thru, one guy is like "you should separate and be in two groups, you'll enjoy it more" and my sister (who was deathly afraid of the whole thing) was like "um, no that's okay." and the guy is like "no really--they'd prefer if you were in 2 groups" (um duh diick they LET US IN that way) and again she said "no really its okay, we're staying together" and his response? "fine, whatever, go screw yourself"

i just went - it was dark and scary, and a little freaky, and IMO worth the $28 it cost me. next time i would definitely have a glass of wine before going in, nt after!

Re: Nightmare- Haunted house in NYC
I've never heard of Blood manor, is that in the city as well??
I think I would get more scared if it was like movie based, ie Freddy, the girl from the ring, Jason...etc. a bunch of actors with fake blood and ripped clothers does nothing for me.

Re: Nightmare- Haunted house in NYC
My SIL went to nightmare last yr and she said it was very scary. She also went to the penitnetiary in PA recently and said it wasn't scary at all. I haven't been so I don't know but, I went to the Bayville Scream Park last weekenend and I thought it wasn't worth the $35. Not scary.

I agree about Bayville Scream Park...I thought it was lame with the exception of the artwork in the funhouse. That was probably the best part.

Re: Nightmare- Haunted house in NYC
I know Philly is far but 13 floors is supposed to be intense. Supposedly nobody has ever made it all the way through. 2 years ago on the way home from fright fest we heard a radio station was at the top floor waiting for someone and they were going to give them $1000, but nobody made it

Re: Nightmare- Haunted house in NYC
FYI guys, this place is open til tomorrow night and is totally worth the money. The entire haunted house is a maze and you and your friends have to find your way through it in the dark. You're always looking for the next door or curtain to enter the next room!! The maze was pretty cool too and an extra $5.00
