Nightmares. Normal?
I am at 6w5d. About 2 weeks ago I started having nightmares that I started to miscarry. But last night's nightmare was a doozy.
My baby was born, completely fine, at 1 inch. He pooped his hospital diaper and I told DH to come help me. He ran out the door to never return. I couldn't find a diaper big enough to fit him, so somebody told me to put him in my wallet. Then I completely lost the baby. He must have fallen out of the wallet. I looked everywhere, screaming for help, while crying like a maniac. Then everyone around me told me not to worry, just have another baby and I'll forget about the one I lost. Am I going nuts?

Re: Nightmares. Normal?
nope you're not going nuts. I've had more vivid and crazy dreams since being preggo also. I've had them all along....
Here's some info:
babycenter.com Dreams are like funhouse mirrors that reflect your emotional state. Since pregnancy can feel like an emotional roller coaster, don't be surprised if your dreams become more vivid and crazy than usual. Dreams also become more vivid during pregnancy because of increased progesterone and increased awakenings from dream-filled REM (rapid eye movement) sleep.

Oh boy!!! Thank you!!!! I've never changed a diaper before and then I have this dream.
Has anybody else had dreams they would like to share, so I feel less weird?

Re: Nightmares. Normal?
I had a silly dream a few nights ago that I kept forgetting to feed my baby. She would go hours and hours and I would forget to feed her. I woke up feeling like a bad mommy already, before she is even born

That is so horrible! I'm sorry!
Just wanted to share that I am in my sixth week - about 5 weeks two days and I had a horrible nightmare about the baby two nights ago - it was similarly ridiculous but, i woke up screaming and it was so scary So it must be normal right if there are two of us?
ETA my nightmare in response to seeing your other post: I went in for my first visit. And, for starters my ENTIRE family was there - my mother had told them. Now, I decided not to tell my family until after my first visit so I was SO SAD that they already knew! Well anyway, then i was laying there in the room half naked in stirrups with my whole family around THEN, the doctor proceeds to make we wait like that for THREE hours. So then I finally go to find a nurse, she is in another room looking at an x-ray film and I tell her i have been waiting for so long and she says - honey, i don't know how to tell you this....and then proceeds to say AWFUL things that I don't even want to repeat here. I start screaming and crying and then i think - wait, i haven't even seen the dr. yet. So I ask her - how did you know this and she says "from your xray" and I start SCREAMING -- NO ONE EVEN LOOKED AT ME YET LET ALONE TOOK AN XRAY! It wasn't me! they screwed up. I was screaming and crying when i woke up. SO RIDICULOUS i know

Re: Nightmares. Normal?
I'm right there with you guys, 6 weeks 2 days. A couple nights ago my dream was that when we came home from the hospital with the baby we found out that someone sold our house out from under us and we had no where to go and couldn't prove it was our house, not someone else's to sell.

Re: Nightmares. Normal?
You are not alone. I had a terrible nightmare a little over haf way through this pregnancy and I woke up screaming. I went for a sono and they said that the baby had only one lung! It freaked me out.
