NJ Ladies - Pumpkin Picking?

Anyone ever go pumpkin picking at Alstede Farms in Morris County?

Any recommendations for pumpkin picking farms in North Jersey? I'd rather not go down to South Jersey.

TIA!

Re: NJ Ladies - Pumpkin Picking?

my family is in central NJ so we'll probably go to Delicious Orchards, Wemrock Farms, etc... don't really know places in N NJ, but I'm sure there's plenty. Just do a search and be sure to read reviews

I love Delicious Orchards, but too far for us.

I did a search, not much came up.

Thanks

We go to Alstede farms all the time. They are about 15 minutes from our house. I love them. They have farm animals, hay rides, a corn maze and in the summer great home made ice cream and pies!!! I would not go on the major pumpkin picking festival weekend because it is crazy busy that weekend. Chubb park across the street has a great playground too.

Thank you!! I looked at their website and it looks like a really nice outing for the day, plus I don't live very far away, so that is a plus as well.

Alstede farms is a great outing...I recommend it.

This year we're going to try Stony Hill Gardens in chester because they have a cool maze and apply picking too.

Since my son was born we've actually just gone to a smaller farm in Montville where we live which was cute too (and close).

I'm checking with my sister. One Sunday in October after my sister's board exam is over so she can take my nephew too. I was *thinking* the 18th or the Sunday after. And of course you can tag along! Chat Icon

Re: NJ Ladies - Pumpkin Picking?

I have always gone further south with friends that live in the Marlboro area (can't remember the name of the farm right now but it is on Rt. 9). This year we are going to a birthday party at Sun High Orchard in Randolph.
I also got this in an e-mail recently:

Oh, that's where I grew up and my family is there. You may be thinking of Battleview Orchards... maybe. I think that's where we're going next month

How far South are you willing to travel?

Battle View orchards are in Freehold. I just came back last week. Great way to spend a day.

I'm not looking to travel South at all.

I love Battleview Orchards and Delicious Orchards, but I'm not willing to go South at all. I need to stay in the North Jersey area.

Thanks!
