No clue about boys shoe sizing
And, I want to order shoes from that cute website - what size shoe and age are your DSs?
I am going to order a bunch so I want to try and get an idea.
Thanks!
ETA: Your childs weight also so that I can compare.

Re: No clue about boys shoe sizing
My son is 18 months old and in a 6 extra wide. I have a hard time finding shoes for him that fit other than stride rite. I got him the cutest little shoes from GAP for christmas and they just were too narrow.

Can I ask how much your son weighs? Don't know if that has anything to do with it either - but Jack weighs 22 lbs. I should update with that question in my post.

Re: No clue about boys shoe sizing
Ok - so I'm thinking I should start at a size 5 then and take it from there.
Or - maybe a 6?????
Did you see those shoes on that website that someone posted - they were only $1-$2. I feel like I can't go wrong even if they don't fit him really.

At his 15 month appt he was almost 25 lbs. We go this week for his 18 month appt.
I got a home shoe sizer from one step ahead. It's worked out well for us since my kids both freak out at the shoe store when the man comes near them to be measured.

If you go onto Stride Rite's website, there is a foot measurer that you can print out and go from there. Emma is 18.5 lbs and wears a size 1 or 2. She has little feet!

I have teh same one too. It's great. I do have them measured every 6 months in Stride Rite when I get them their good shoes, but just for the cheapie shoes, I use my shoe sizer.
My kids are both early May and seem to be running around the same shoes size. That's why it's easy to order a bunch or larger sizes for DD to grow in.
My son was always on the heavier side and I have to get him XW shoes. He has one pair from Darling Shoes and they are ok, but I did order a size up.

Re: No clue about boys shoe sizing
I think every childs size is different. How can you compare? Some are wide, some aren't. Some are flat feet, some aren't. I think every shoe fits different too! Just like clothes fit differently. Why play around with their feet? Go to the store and get them fit properly by a professional. I think the kids need to have at least one real good pair of everyday shoes. If you need to get a cheap pair for a one time wear like for a holiday thats one thing.
I swear by the Wantagh Bootery. They're local and have a great selection!

I betcha she works for the Wantagh bootery, the threads she bumped all are plugging it. Or maybe it's just a newbie not knowing any better.
