No Coverage - Infertility Drugs
Hi All,
I am almost finished using my Lifetime maximum for infertility. I am going to have to pay for services and prescriptions out of pocket. Does anyone know where to get inferility drugs for less? The cost of Follistim & menopur is so high.
Thanks in advance

Re: No Coverage - Infertility Drugs
Sometimes women donate their unused meds back to the clinics for other women to use in your situation. Also, sometimes women on this board will donate unused meds to those in need. I also think that there is a mail order pharmacy called Freedom Pharmacy which might be cheaper.

Re: No Coverage - Infertility Drugs
Where do you currently get your meds from? I know the pharmacy I use has a program for free meds if you qualify. I use Freedom Pharmacy, and I've seen them advertise that on their site.
Also, check with your RE's office, sometimes they have extra meds that were donated back to their office.

Re: No Coverage - Infertility Drugs
My insurance doesnt cover IVF or injectable meds....Last cycle we used Kraupners Pharmacy (on our RE reccomendation) and they deliver right to your door...They definately were a lot less than msot other pharmacies...This cycle, my RE office has given me some donated back drugs to help offset the cost, so you may want to give a heads up to the nurses at your office and they may be able to help you out !...Also, I was on Follistim last cycle and my RE switched me to Bravelle this month because it is almost 1/4 of the price of Follistim and according to him, does the same thing (its just a little more work, because you have to mix the powder- but what do I care, my hubbie is doing it LOL !!!) Good Luck !
