No more 2 hour naps!?!?!?
My ds is almost 3 months old and he has always been very consistent with his naps and they've always been 2 hours. He'd usually go down from 7:15-9:15 and then 10:30-12:30 and then a one hour nap in the afternoon.
Now for the past week or so, we're lucky if it's 40 minutes.
Is this a stage or should i get used to the short naps?

My DS is 8 months old, he still sometimes naps for 2 hours, but its not as consistent as before---his usual now is 1-1.5 hours, but every kid is different (sometimes as little as 30 minutes, but that seems to happen more when he is teething, etc)

See i think this is happening. He constantly has his hands in his mouth and the drool that comes out of his mouth (soaks his whole shirt). Last night we were giving him a bath and i was holding him up so my husband could wash his back and all of a sudden... he's sucking away on my finger and boy was he going to town on it!

Re: No more 2 hour naps!?!?!?
I hate to say this but I would get used to it. DS used to have 2 naps in the AM it was 1hour and in the PM 3 hours! Without fail every day, it was great! Then he turned 3 months…we went through a period of no naps, then 1 nap, then 2-3 30 minute naps. It wasn’t until about 8 months that he started napping again 2x a day for 1.5 hours each (usually)
I used to get so frustrated because I KNEW he was tired but there is only so much you can do to encourage them to sleep! I tried with clothing, with less clothing, without clothing, with a sound machine, without, with AC, without, right after a bottle and an hour after his bottle, different times, the same exact time, on his back, on his side, on his belly, you get the point, and nothing helped until one day he just went to bed and woke up 1.5 hours later…. GL!

Re: No more 2 hour naps!?!?!?
both of my DD's were catnappers for a long time...I hope yours snaps out of it soon!
Some babies are good nappers, some aren't...
But most usually become good nappers after their 1st bday when they start walking and really tiring themselves out...
