No more Pleasure Island at Disney right?
I am going to Disney this summer and I'm pretty sure that there is no more Pleasure Island. Does anyone know if there is a place there like it or was that it?

No but there is a place I think it's by the Boardwalk. I can't remember the name of it right now.

I've heard that you can go to the boardwalk for bars....Never been there but I've heard JellyRolls is a fun piano bar. You can probably look it up on the disney website for info

The Boardwalk has Jelly Rolls (all request dueling piano bar) & the Atlantic Dance Hall as well as an ESPN Zone and Big River Grill which is a micro brew.
There's also CitiWalk at Universal that has restaurants, bars, etc.

Yeah, all that's left is the Boardwalk, there are a couple of places but nothing like PI

Re: No more Pleasure Island at Disney right?
What happened to Pleasure island? I am surprised they closed it down....I was there a few years back and it was really cool to celebrate new years in August.
We went to Church street a few years back to a place called Fat Tuesdays. They had 10 to 15 different machines filled with Frozen drinks like Sex on the beach, or woo woo. Loved that. Not sure if that is still there either

A few years ago they took down that stage to make it easier to go from the Downtown Disney shopping area to the West Side. They also took down the gates into Pleasure Island and charged admissions at the club doors. This led to lots of underage kids hanging around and there's rumors there issues with drugs and fights. It became a big mess so they decided to shut it down.
The concept of PI was fantastic and so much fun to just wander around and listen to live music, go in & out of the different clubs and the NYE celebration every night. I think putting it between the two shopping areas was akward - the West Side always felt like an after thought.
The word on the net is that they will be adding some new stores and restaurants to the area.
It kind of sux for people that like to go out out at night while they are on vacation - there's no where to really go on property anymore.

Basically there is the Boardwalk - that has a few places.
If you have a car you could take a drive off property to I think it is called City Walk - it is part of Universal Studios it is free to walk around and has a bunch of restaurants, shows (blue man group), I think one or two clubs, movie theater and some bars.
