No nap-Cranky-Crying
HELP me get through this day.
Noah has been cranking, SCREAMING for no reason all morning. I tried to get him to nap in his crib after he fell asleep on me so I could get some stuff done and it failed big time.
Now I want to scream.
I contemplated asking DH to take a half day off cause my head is pounding from listening to it.
I feel like I have a brat and its my fault. Thats not true for an 8 month old right? Its not ME causing this behavior or what not?
how do I get him ( Noah ) happy again?
Vent over, thanks
p.s gonna try to go take 8 month pictures...HA HA HA./..wish me luck!

Re: No nap-Cranky-Crying
When my dd is like this i usually take her outside for a brisk walk or drive, and then that calms her down and falls asleep.

Re: No nap-Cranky-Crying
When Lucas just won't nap (but really needs to) I get him out of the house and either meet up with someone or get him around a lot of things to see. Knocks him out. From the car I try to transfer him to the crib...that's a 50/50 but no matter what he always wakes up happier after getting that nap.

Re: No nap-Cranky-Crying
DD was like this and I took her to the Dr. and it turns out she has an ear infection and her two top teeth are coming in. She is now on Amoxicillin and she seems to be much happier!

Re: No nap-Cranky-Crying
By your post I can't tell if this is pattern of having trouble getting him to nap, or if it's just today. If it's just today he's been screaming, DS gets like this when he has an ear infection. My happy baby becomes this wretched thing that just won't stop crying. Any signs? Although, DS doesn't usually get a fever until the second day of screaming.

Re: No nap-Cranky-Crying
You could call your doctor and describe what's happening with him and see what she thinks.
If he seems to be fine, the things that work for my DS are taking walks, going in the car, or (sometimes) putting him in his carrier, though your DS may be too big for this.
