No period when coming off the pill?
I stopped taking the pill after my last period, which was on March 20. I took a couple of tests around the time I should have gotten it and they were negative. How long should I wait before calling the dr? I was on the pill for more than 10 years so I have no clue about my cycle...

my cycles have been crazy since coming off the pill.....if a long time passes you should go to the Dr.
my cycles have been:
39 days
37 days
64 days
73 days

sometimes it can take a while for AF to come when getting off the pill. I waited about 3 months then went to the GYN and discovered I had PCOS. not to scare you or anything 
were you regular before getting on the pill? i was not but never gave it any thought.

I honestly can't remember because I was like 17 when I started. What is pcos?

I stopped taking BCP 4/14 and had AF 4/11, now its a waiting game when is AF going to strike!

This is my 3rd cycle off BCP and the first one was 35 days and the second was 49...i am hoping that this one is less.

from what i remember i was regular before going on BCP. i was on it for 12 years. when i came off to TTC i never had a normal cycle again. after 6 months i was dx with PCOS. i feel BCP contribued to it although i dont think i can get any doctors to agree with that.
if you havent gotten AF since march you can call your doctor now. they will probably give you provera which will bring on your period. after that you can start counting again and see if your cycle regulates. sometimes it just takes a while and a little help after being on BCP for so long. other times, like with me, no amount of time will solve the issue because the hormones are too out of whack. but that tends to be the exception. most people do regulate in time.

I recently has a similar post about this. My first cycle off the pill was close to 40 days. I just finished my 2nd cycle and it was 30, which was normal for me before I was on the pill. Give it some time. Hopefully your cycles will regulate soon

Just wanted to let you know I am going through it right now.. except I went off in January and with no AF for months after I finally went to my doc last week. He prescribed me Provera, i am taking my last pill in a few days so we will see what happens... I say give it a month or two to see if your AF comes on its own, and if not then see your doc.
