No Santa Photos!
We went to Hicks today to try and get some Santa photos of DS, but no go. He was scared of Santa when he got close. We also tried to take photos in the store, but could not get him to stand still or look at the camera.
We tried with a professional photographer at a craft fair a couple weeks ago as well, and she could not get him to look at the camera for more than a second either. Luckily, we didn't have to pay for those pics. She said he's a tough one, and it would seem so.
Well, guess I'm going with a year collage of photos throughout the year again. Hopefully by next year he will slow down long enough for a picture!

was the hicks santa a nice set up?? we are hoping to attempt ds with him this week and definitely do not want to spend the money at the mall

The set up was nice, though DH and I both thought the Santa wasn't much of a Santa. Kind of skinny and not very much into it, but I don't know how wild about the work any of them are! They do have lots of other pretty spots around decorated trees and such to take photos so if your child freaks at the sight of Santa, you may have other options. Ours just won't stand still!
There also wasn't much of a line, and I wanted to buy a wreath, etc., so it was a nice option.

Victoria will not go by Santa this year. She is also very scared and screamed when we brought her to him. We even had Santa give her a new toy (yes, we bribed her!) but she wants nothing to do with him.
Maybe next year - and then I'm sure Julianne won't sit with him

Grace wouldn't get within 10 feet of Santa last year. I am hoping we are ok this year.

I couldn't get them either this year and I don't know if I'm up to trying again.
I think other people's pics of crying kids on Santa's lap are hilarious but I can't bring myself to do it to her.

It surprised me a little, only because he LOVED Halloween skeletons, ghouls, and such. I kid who hugs a feral looking fake rat shouldn't be afraid of Santa, right? And he's been okay with pictures of Santa, until today.
I guess the reality was scary.
