...but you know me best
I would like to try to go on a 'date' with DH this Saturday - does anyone know of anything going on in Nassau ?
Dinner and a movie is a bit lame, I'd like to have some fun

Re: Non IF related
What about taking a drive up to Hudson River Valley - visit Washington Irving's house in Irvington, go to Sleepy Hollow, and the Castle in Tarrytown. The leaves should be beautiful. THen a lovely dinner at Harvest on the Hudson in (Hastings on Hudson I think) - it is a lovely place, romantic and great food, beautiful views of the Hudson River. Or out of Tarrytown you can also take a tour up the Hudson on the boat.
DH and I did this last year for Halloween weekend - it was great but crowded, better to go now.
Or if you want to stay local, go pumpkin picking out east, then to some of the haunted houses...fun at night!!
ETA oops sorry, didn't see the Nassau thing -- but hey this is not even an hour drive...

I know you specified Nassua, but the first thing that came to mind was the fall festival in Montauk on Saturday.

Mill Neck Manor in Mill Neck is having their apple festival, you could do that and then have dinner either in Oyster Bay or Bayville.
