Non-perishible milk

i am starting to wean my son to whole milk and curious to know if anyone uses non-perishible milk--i have seen lil milk and parmalat- does anyone use these for on the go purposes? any other suggestions other then carrying around a cooler with milk when out and about?

I purchased Horizon organic milk boxes when we took a roadtrip to VA, they were great. If DS could tell the difference between that and regular milk, he certainly didn't let on. the 8oz box size was perfect, too. I poured them right into his cup.

was it whole milk? I havent been able to find the 8oz wholemilk from Horizon?

DS is regularly on whole milk, but I bought the horizon 2% boxes for our trip and just to keep in the house in the event of a power outage, or if we're on the go, etc.

i used to get it from BRU, but that was 2 years ago...dont know if they still carry it. supermarkets usually carry the parmalat brand by the canned/evaporated milk.
