Non-school basketball leagues
Our district has announced that they will not offer winter sports this year. My kids both LOVE basketball and I'd like to get them involved.
Does anyone know of any leagues for kids? CYO?
Thanks so much!

if you're ok with a little bit of a religious component, look into Upward Sports. they run basketball in different churches all over. I live in NJ, and my son has done it for the past 3 winters. So, far ours is planning to run this year, with no people watching, windows open in the gym, that kind of stuff. they do have little "devotionals"/ bible lessons during breaks at practices. We don't go to church regularly, but its not pushy or anything....

St. Pat's in Smithtown has basketball registration open for January. They are only taking names at this point. No fee yet... just in case another shut down. If schools remain open they plan on having a league.

The Sports Arena in St. James. They also run clinics as well.
