Re: None of my clothes fit!

i am STILL having the same problem... at 20 weeks... i am not showing enough to fit into the maternity stuff, it is still too big in the belly area.. and i dont fit into any of my regular pants. I went to Kohl's this weekend and they had great drawstring pants... perfect for work... I have been living in them.

Re: None of my clothes fit!

I was going to suggest some drawstring or elastic band pants.

It is called the Bella Band

Bella Band

If you don't want to buy this and you have extra tube tops laying around, they serve the same purpose! I'm still using my tube tops over some pants and I'm 25 weeksChat Icon

Re: None of my clothes fit!

Yes! At this moment I'm big for my normal clothes and small for maternity clothes. Some pants that are lower still fit, although a little tight, so I have been repeting them a lot lately.

Re: None of my clothes fit!

I had gone to Walmart and Target - I got a few cute maternity capris there. They look like regular capris except they gather in the back for you grow, but they fit under the belly which is why I like them!

Re: None of my clothes fit!

Steph - have you considered just going up to the next size in regular clothes for now????

A lot of the naternity places have regular pants/capris that have an elastic back. Inside is buttons that you attach the elastic to so the pants can grow with you and your butt (I have the SAME problem!!)

Re: None of my clothes fit!

HUgs to you guys - I hated that phase too - it was hard. I think now though there are a lot of skirts and pants with elastic waists that will work.

Also check out gap jeans - a lot of them will fit now and grow with you.

I am 24 weeks - I am not really wearing maternity clothes - just clothes in bigger sizes and dresses wherever I can find them.

Also - check out NY and CO. they have skirts with elastic waists and their clothes tend to run big in the first place. I am wearing a dress of theirs today - its an XS and it still works over my belly (and it was only $35!!)

eta: although I know we all grow a little in the butt - remember - your hips are widening - THAT may be the problem - not your butt (although it feels like it) I am sure you look beautiful!

Re: None of my clothes fit!

Until about 20 weeks, I bought some clothes in a size or two larger than normal. That way I'll also have clothes for after delivery, while I'm still a little bigger than my normal size. Now that I'm a tanker, I'm wearing mostly maternity clothes - I bought most of mine online, on Ebay. There are a few sellers that sell new Old Navy and Gap maternity clothes. I also bought some career clothes at Motherhood (crappy material) and Mimi Maternity (overpriced).

Re: None of my clothes fit!

None of my clothes were fitting me at around 8-10 weeks. I had to go and buy some stuff at Old Navy...bought some maternity pants and shirts. I feel so much more comfortable now...even though most of the pants are a bit big on me still.

Re: None of my clothes fit!

I gained a little weight at the beginning but I just bought a bigger size. THey fit until I hit 21 weeks then there was no hiding the belly and it was maternity clothing all the way. I just had to buy bigger maternity clothing yesterday because none of them fit anymore in the chest. It is a never ending cycle. Best of luck girls.

Re: None of my clothes fit!

I still have some reg clothes that fit me, and then I have others I wouldnt dream of getting in...

I bought a few maternity things at old navy and motherhood... Im not really having a problem with tops as much as I am with pants... Its not that they dont fit as much as it is uncomfortable...

I know you might be to small for some maternity...or bigger size things...but its better to just be comfortable... TRUST ME!!!

Re: None of my clothes fit!

I am 18 weeks and I am still in my regular pants, some are getting a bit tight in the waist so I have been pinning them instad of buttoning them. I am mostly wearing maternity tops because all my regualar ones are too short (my boobs take up alot of room)
