NOOO! Need new apple picking location

Ft. Salonga farm is closed until oct 20 for class trips.

Anything else> or pumpkins or other fun fall stuff? Since I had to work today, I want to try to do something fun one day this week or next weekend

Re: NOOO! Need new apple picking location

Well, I can tell you where NOT to go...LEWIN's FARMS!!!
We went there yesterday...first of all, let's discuss the traffic on Rte.25A...OMG!!! Disaster!
Then we finally get there, park in no man's land and go to the orchards...only to find....NOT ONE SINGLE SOLITARY APPLE LEFT ON A TREE!!!!!!!Chat Icon

Soooooooooo disappointed. We left without 1 single apple. But I will say, the pumpkins were GREAT! Nice selection.

But if you want an apple, do what we did...buy 'em at BJ's!

Aww that stinks.

One year we drove all the way out to Ft. Salonga (far for us.. about an hour with no traffice, that day about 2.5 hours) only to find out there were too many people at the farm so they wouldn't let us in! Chat Icon

that stank! BIG time!

I was hoping to take off another day this week, since I have to work today and go have fall fun somewhere, since I didn't get to this weekend

My family went to Maskers. We had a great time and took pictures to make a family calendar for my mother. You can eat what you pick as you go. Each bag you fill costs about $16 when you leave. It is a great afternoon. We went a month ago. You will have more options now because more of the fruit is ripe!

Re: NOOO! Need new apple picking location

We went over the weekend to Wickhams and I have gone a couple of years ago to Masker's. I wasn't that impressed with Wickham's, but we chose to go there because it was closer and we were taking a niece and nephew. It was nice, but given the choice, I would go back to Maskers. I thought it was larger with a better variety of apples.
