NOOOOOO MORE EXCUSES ITS BEEN 6 Months!

OK I'm officially done wearing a size 12 never ever in my life have I been a 12! It has been a blessing to have Peter! But it has been 6 months!! I want to get into my size 4 and 6! I'm just so grossed out with myself it is really starting to get to me!! I was wondering what is my best bet..Weight Watchers?? Nutra System..Jenny Craig? or maybe having my jaw wired shut??? Please let me know how you did it?? I have about 30lbs to looseChat Icon oh and I have lost about 25 to date but I'm at a stand still now! I swear I'm a meal away from surgery!! Okay I'm done!

Hang in there. I am only 3 weeks pp and I already understand how you feel. Maybe try changing up the diet to more of a salad and soup kind of thing? Also drinking alot of seltzer water works good for me because it fills you up more in between meals. This is also awsome weather to go walking and bike riding in! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm 10 months pp and still 5 pounds away from my final goal, and stuck in a size 12 now too. I was a size 10 before, so I'm almost there. But after DS was born, I was a 16, then a 14.

Keep at it, it will come off, it just may take some time. And ultimately, that's the best way to lose weight and keep it off, slowlyl.

As our kids are ONE day apart, I am truly jealous!!!!!!! After losing 25 lbs almost immediately, I have been stuck every since and need to drop another 15.

I understand where you are coming from...

I am 30 pounds overweight right now - I am 2 months postpartum. And I had GD, so go figure - I ate right the last 3 months of my pregnancy, and still put on a ton of weight.

I am a huge fan of and believer in Weight Watchers. I have done it twice before and have always been successful. I just started last Monday and have lost 6 pounds. I don't actually see or feel a difference yet, but I will.

I didn't want to do a diet that required me to order meals or cut out my carbs. I knew I would fail (that's just me). I needed a plan that allows me to eat what I want, just in the correct portion size.

You sound truly motivated. You can do it!!!! Good luck!

I am 9+months PP and still about 5-8lbs from my prepregnancy weight. Its hard I know! I feel gross, and let me tell you 5lbs isnt a lot but my body is still so different. I have a little pouch of jelly for a belly and my hips and boobs are still bigger than before.

I dont know what to tell you to try but wanted to say you are sooo not alone.

I would think WW would require more discipline with the counting but I know tons of people who have been successful. THe others you mentioned are more $$ but less thought goes into it as you just eat their foods(I think)

I feel the same way. I am only 13 lbs over pre pregnancy weight but can;t fit into ANY iof my old pants. I bought 3 new pairs of pants so that is all I wear over and over. I have to fit into my old clothes this winterChat Icon
I am sooo not into dieting. I like running and exercising but I have no time. Maybe we can start a thread and try to mitvate eachother?

After my DS I did Jenny Craig and lost 18 lbs relatively quickly....You need to sick to it like glue for the 1st 6 weeks and then you can make some deviations...the food actually was pretty good and when you break down the price of each meal it is really inexpensive...Good Luck !Chat Icon

At 3 months post partum I am 16lbs away from pre preggo weight (I gained 50lbs) and about 35lbs away from my goal weight.

Hang in there. Dieting is tough. So I just try to slim down my portion sizes and stopped buying junk food. DH would always ask for it and for some reason I'd wind up eating it instead of him Chat Icon

I know how you feel in a big way! I gained soooo much weight with DS--embarassed to admit how much but A LOT! Anyway he wil lbe nine months old and I STILL need ot drop about 30 pounds. I lost a lot a few months after giving birth but these last few months have been at a standstill. I tried weight watchers and while I know it is a great program (lost a bunch of weight on it after college and NEVEr\R gained it back) it wasn't working for me because it was TOO flexible. That said I made a commitment to myself to drop the rest of this weight and joined Jenny Craig. I am a few days in and have to say I really, really like it. The food is good and for me personally I do not think it was that expensive, my total for the week was about $150 --that was $20 for program and the rest was food- but that is 7 days worth of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and dressings and syrup. For me personally to lose the rest of this weight I need real structure. Thus far I would recommend Jenny. I am going to start a thread on diet and fitness to see if anyone else is on. Good luck to all you ladies, I know how hard and frustrating it is. I am tired of buying new clothes and not being able to wear any of my regular clothes!!!
